Ear Fetish

It was my first year overseas.  I was taken to the hospital - a building with olive, burnt yellow, and orange tones everywhere - for some medical testing.  Aside from the interior design straight out of the 70s, everything about the visit was pretty standard.  I checked in and answered the typical health history questions; then things got weird.  Before being directed to a waiting area, the nurse applied a glob of some substance to my earlobe.  I asked my coach who was with me what the purpose of this was.  She said 'it's to make your ear hot.'  OK strange, but I'll just go with it, I thought.  My ear was definitely very (uncomfortably) HOT by the time I was called in to see the doctor.  I quickly became more uncomfortable when I realized they now wanted to draw blood from my earlobe!  What?!  Why?!  I didn't see this coming.  In a panic I went along with it.  I almost passed out.  My coach got a good laugh.

Fast-forward.  Different season, same country.  It's preseason.  We're on a turf field about to do some fitness testing with a 'sports-medical-professional' of sorts.  As soon as I heard this person from the medical field mention ears, I immediately resolved to myself that I would not let them touch mine.  I was right, they were coming for blood!  They wanted to prick each of our ears, have us perform the said fitness task, squeeze blood from our earlobes during our recovery time, use the blood for data observations, then have us repeat the task and the process.... And they did.  For all my teammates anyways.  I still did the running, but firmly asserted nobody was coming near my earlobes!
